Rules & Regulations
Players & substitution
1. The normal laws of football, as defined by FIFA and
endorsed by All India Football Federation and Delhi Soccer Association, will
apply, with such exceptions as may be necessary.
2. In case of any dispute regarding the rules, scheduling
or any other matter related to the tournament, the decision of the tournament
organizers will be final and binding on each participant .
3. A match is played by two teams, each
consisting of not more than six players, one of whom is the goalkeeper.
However, each squad will comprise of 9 players.
4. The maximum number of substitutes
permitted is three. The
number of substitutions made during a match is unlimited. A player who has been
replaced may return to the pitch as a substitute for another player.
5. In case of rain or any other unplayable
conditions, the organizer has all rights to change the format, fixtures, date
or venue of the championship.
6. There are no age restrictions. But all the team
members must be employee of the company they are representing.
7. A player must not use equipment or wear
anything that is dangerous to himself or another player, including any kind of
jewellery. Jewellery, which is potentially dangerous and cannot be easily
removed, should be taped. Shin guards and stockings are compulsory. Footwear
must be either studs or sports shoes.
Duration
1. The duration of league matches will be 10
minutes per half, with a break of 2 minutes between the two halves.
2. The duration of knockout matches will
be 15 minutes per half, with a break of 5 minutes between the two halves.
3. A team must report at least 30 minutes
before the start of their game. A delay of over 15 minutes from scheduled time will result in walkover,
with the opposition winning the match.
Points, Groups and Qualification
1. In the league stage, 3 points will be
awarded for each win and 1 point will be awarded for each draw.
2. The number of groups and teams per group
will be communicated to all participating teams 2-3 days prior to the
championship.
3. The top team in each group will qualify
for the Gold Cup; second-placed team will qualify for the Silver Cup;
third-placed team will qualify for the Bronze Cup, while the last team from each group will
be eliminated.
4. Each team will get to play a minimum of 3
league matches and a minimum of 1 knockout game unless it finishes last in its league
group.
5. There will be no extra-time or penalties in
group/league matches to decide a match that has been drawn at the end of
regular time. If two teams are equal on points after all the league matches,
position in the group will be determined by goal-difference. If goal-difference
is also the same, goals scored (maximum) will be considered, followed by goals
conceded (minimum). If the issue is still not decided, a coin toss will be
implemented.
6. In the knockout round, after a draw, the
referee will call for a penalty shootout, wherein each team will get to take 5
penalties. If the scores are tied even after 5 penalties each, the game will go
into sudden death.
7. Only in the final of each cup, there will
be an extra-time of 10 minutes (5 minutes per half), followed by penalties to
determine the eventual champion.
8. If
any team walks out during a game, or protests beyond a tolerable level, it will
be disqualified from the tournament.
9. The decisions of the referee regarding facts connected with
play are final, and must be respected by all participants.

If a player commits a rough foul or uses abusive
language, he will be shown a yellow card and will be suspended for 2 minutes.
During the suspension, the player will be expected to be inside a designated
area called the ‘sin bin’. The team will not be able to replace this suspended
player and will have to play with two players during the two minutes of
suspension.

If a player gets a red card, direct or indirect, the
team will have to play the remaining duration of the game with only 5 players.

In case any scheduled match isn’t completed during the
day, the match will be rescheduled by the event managers. All rescheduling will
be at the discretion of the event managers and while they will make efforts to
incorporate the needs of each team, their decision will be final even if they
are not able to do so.

A team may have to play three or more matches in a day.
